What is TESOL?

The difference between TESOL, TESL, and TEFL?

TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is also sometimes referred to as EFL (English as a Foreign Language). TEFL involves teaching people, usually in their own countries, who want to use English for business, leisure, travel, etc. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is much more widely used than TEFL. In North America, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is much more widely used than TEFL. TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) involves teaching immigrants in English-speaking countries.

What other countries accept TESOL?

When you have completed our intensive TESOL course you will receive two certificates. One that will be accepted by schools in China and one for other countries. ACT will provide two chops (certification stamps) one that is issued by the Guangzhou Education Bureau and the other from ACT Canada. Our TESOL course will prepare you with a vast amount of teaching experience before applying for your first job enabling you to apply for jobs around the world.

Why should I attain my TESOL certificate in Guangzhou?

The primary reason that people choose enroll with ACT is that you get paid while obtaining your TESOL certificate. After completion of 300 hours work experience, trainees will obtain their TESOL certificates. THE DIFFERENCE WITH OUR COURSE IS THAT YOU GET PAID WHILE WORKING Teaching all different levels from beginners-to advanced in Kindergartens, training centres and tutorials.
